Guests are welcome to attend two times, as long as their seat is not taken by another member, before applying to join the group.

What to Expect

  • We begin promptly at 7:30 AM. The room is open by 7:00 AM if you want to arrive early and order breakfast.
  • Since the meeting room is free, everyone is expected to order from the menu and tip at least 20%. If you choose to fast, cash tipping for the server is still expected.

  • Each member and guest will give a 30-second commercial.

  • One member will give a 10-12 minute featured presentation on their business.

  • 50/50 Raffle: Bring cash to contribute. Our group and charitable work is funded from cash collected weekly through the raffle, and tickets are sold in $1, $5, and $10 increments. One lucky person wins half of the pot each week. The standard ticket purchase is 8 tickets for $5.00 (small bills appreciated).

  • Open networking, referrals, and business card exchange. We recommend bringing business cards to share.

  • We dismiss between 8:30 and 8:40 AM, and open networking may continue until 9:00 AM.

How to Prepare to Deliver Your 30-Second Commercial

  1. Intro
    Greeting and Name: Start with a friendly greeting and introduce yourself.
    Example
    “Good morning, everyone! My name is Scott Sanders.”
  2. Business and Role
    State your company and role within the organization.
    Example
    “I’m the owner of XYZ Landscaping and Design.”
  3. What do you do?
    Briefly describe what your company does.
    Example
    “We design and build extraordinary backyard retreats so homeowners never have to leave home to feel like they’re on vacation 365 days per year.”
  4. Ideal Client
    Who is your ideal client, customer, and/or referral partner?
    Example
    “Our ideal customers are homeowners looking to upscale their backyard spaces, and we’re the ace up a real estate agent’s sleeve because we can transform even the ugliest yard or outdoor space to make it fabulous!”
  5. Call to Action
    Invite the audience to engage with you.
    Example
    “If you or anyone you know wants to experience a backyard makeover, please grab my card and refer us with confidence. Check out our website at XYZlandscaping(dot)com to see a gallery of our work. Thank you!”
